If you have used Instacart through one of our embedded partner experiences (Groceries Powered by Instacart) and would like to submit a request to access or delete your Personal Information, please email us at customerprivacy@instacart.com.
The policy now covers Instacart White Label sites and apps and embedded partner experiences more explicitly, and adds a clause on deidentified data. It also removes the named references to Fizz by Instacart, including its under-21 age language and its Fresh Funds Information section, and drops the Co-Branded Products exclusion for White Labels. If you use Instacart through a retailer's branded site or through a partner's embedded app like Groceries Powered by Instacart, this policy now clearly applies to you, and you have a listed email address for access or deletion requests. The removal of Fizz-specific terms may matter if you used Fizz, because the policy no longer mentions how it handles that service's data. If you use Instacart through a partner app or a retailer's branded site and want to see or delete your data, save customerprivacy@instacart.com for that request. If you previously used Fizz, review the updated policy or ask Instacart's support team how the removed Fizz terms now apply to your account before your next renewal date.

Instacart+ Benefits are not available on all Instacart Services, including Groceries Powered by Instacart (embedded partner experiences).
The terms now cover embedded partner experiences and removes the Fizz-specific references. Instacart+ benefits are stated to be unavailable on some Instacart services, including Groceries Powered by Instacart. The agreement to receive communications is no longer tied to creating an account. If you shop through a partner's site or app that runs on Instacart, such as Groceries Powered by Instacart, your Instacart+ benefits may not apply there. Your consent to receive emails, texts, calls, and push notifications is now described without reference to account creation. Before your next Instacart+ renewal, check the Help Center to confirm which services and partner experiences include your benefits, and review the notification settings in your account.

At the end of your free trial period or promotional membership period, Instacart will automatically charge you the applicable Instacart+ subscription fee to the payment method on file with Instacart.
The terms add Fizz to the covered services and expand the fee list to include bag fees, regulatory-related fees, and a possible 'priority' fee, while dropping alcohol and heavy order fees. Instacart+ no longer reduces service fees, restaurant delivery-fee waivers are at Instacart's discretion, and Instacart+ benefits and gift cards don't apply on Fizz. The promise to notify you before a free trial or promotional membership ends was also removed. You may pay more in some fee categories, and your Instacart+ benefits are narrower than before, especially if you order on Fizz or from restaurants. Instacart will still charge your payment method on file when a free trial or promotion ends, and it no longer commits to telling you in advance. Before your next renewal or any free trial end date, check which payment method is on file and set a calendar reminder a few days ahead so you can review the charge or cancel in time. If you use Fizz or restaurant orders, compare your recent fees against what you expected under the Instacart+ benefits.

We also collect information regarding your interactions with our chat bots, emails, texts, notifications or other marketing from us (e.g., whether you opened or clicked).
The privacy policy now states outright that Instacart collects data on your interactions with its chatbots, emails, texts, notifications, and marketing messages, including whether you opened or clicked them. Instacart can see when you open or click its messages and may use that to measure and tailor how it contacts you. The new "Your Privacy Choices" section is where the policy describes controls over this kind of tracking. Before your Instacart+ renewal date, read the new "Your Privacy Choices" section and check your notification and marketing settings in the app or account to see which messages you receive and what options are available.
